on the INSIDE along the seam. Go as far as your arm

Fold back the excess tape to the outside of the tube. |

Because of the size, it is rather flimsy so we want
to add a little EXTRA support. It just happens that
some paper plates fit exactly into the tube.
Gently stick a plate in and manipulate it until it
is about 7 or 10 inches from the edge. |

Use your Hot Glue Gun to secure the plate in place. |

OK, I agree, it still needs a little help LOL. This
is just ur CORE. We now need to apply the skin of
the Tree, or BARK if you will. |

Place your tube on top of some BROWN construction
wrapping paper. This is the same as butcher paper,
or, paper you use at the post office to wrap boxes.
Measure about 5-6 " extra on both sides. |

Now use an Xacto blade or Scissors to cut the brown
paper. |

Here is your bark.
Using brown paper eliminates the need to paint it
brown. cool eh?

to put rips into it.
Start by squishing it from top to bottom... |
