The most simple Tree is the Small Tree. Having 3
sizes in your Endor Diorama will add more realism
and look just like the film.
I started with a cardbord sheet thicker then paper
but not too thick that cannot be bent into a tube.
Size of this paper is 22.5 X 28.5 inches (the size
sold at the store. |

Since the tree is a small one, you only need ONE
sheet.
Measure half way accross the 22.5 side. Of course
if your paper is bigger, that is ok also.
It is a tree after all, can be any size for your
home version. |

Cut the sheet into TWO equal halves. |

Now mark a 1 inch line all along the side of the
long side of the paper. |

Follow the yellow arrows if you cannot clearly see
the lines I drew at the top of each sheet. |

Align the 2 sheets with a TWO inch overlap.

Use masking tape to secure the 2 sheets together.

Fold over the eccess tape on the other side of the
cardboard. Then FLIP the piece to the other side and
tape all along the exposed joint. Fold the flaps on
this side as well.

Now I discovered that it's easier to create your
tube if your "pre-roll" your cardboard so
that it has a little bit of the curve already in it
instead of a flat cardboard that has a life of its
own :)
Simply roll up the cardboard and hold it in place
for a minute or two. When you let go, it will unroll
but not all the way.

It will keep some of its rolled up shape and allow
you more ease to tae up the 2 sides together.
