| After just one hour, our first batch of trees on the
drying table.

|
|
| While many were busy with their trees, some prefered
to tackle some bridges !!! The first step was to cut some
2 inch bamboo fence posts. The cool thing is that using
scissors, you could zoom quickly like if you were cutting
hair. BE CAREFULL though, we DID have BLLEDING FINGER from
someone not paying attention. OUCH !!!

|
|
| Once the 2 inch rods were cut, we could sit down at
the #4 workstation (hey !!! my beautifull sign is already
tipped over !!! :( sniff LOL) and use the templates to create
bridges and walkways.

| Over at WorkArea #8 fans were making some Ewok Gliders.
I MUST give John CREDIT for this one. He's the one who thought
of it, I admit I had my doubts of who would want to build
this, it turned out to be one of the FAVE sections of the
workshop. We guessed that it was because a glider might
fit better in your luggage then a 5 foot tree LOL.

| The first Ewok Platforms placed on the "to be continued"
table. It's so gratifying to see that all the hard work
John and I spent for 6 months designing the prototypes actually
made sense to people and were able to easily follow our
directions on their own :)

| Duke handing out some Ultra Cool LucasArts Prizes. This
lucky girl had a LucasArts logo on the back of her Ewok
Lanscaping ID card. Which prize would she choose mmmm, so
many choices :) Thanks again SO MUCH to LUCASARTS, LUCASFILM
and ILM for contributions to the NiubNiub giveaways. The
fans just LOVED IT !!!

| Over at Workstation 7 we had the "Paint your own
Ewoks" This was Pat Donlan's brainchild (hes the big
kid with the baseball cap :) I can't even tell you how POPULAR
this station was. We could have had ONLY painting Ewoks
and it would have been WILD !!!
XX |
|
|
| Kids could choose from many paint colors and FIVE different
cast Ewoks that Pat made. A total of over 200 Ewoks were
ready for the kids during the course of the weekend.

|
|
| Here I am telling the kids to work FASTER FASTER !!!!
We need 100 Ewoks by sunset ;p LOL Actually I was discussing
with Pat what to do about the popularity of this workstation.
After 3-4 hours, we had almost 70 Ewoks already painted,
there would be none left for tomorrow, and then there are
still 3 days after that !!!
We decided the best was to limit the station to group classes
of 12-15 kids every 2 hours. I can BET that had we had 2000
cast Ewoks, we still would have had a shortage.

|
| Some of the fisrt days Painted Ewoks. The ID Tags helped
Identify them so that the Kids could come and pick them
up on the Monday 2 pm. Pretty cool if I do say so myself.
Good job kids !!!
