| I am in the minority...I NEVER
read ANY of the Tolkien books so I went into this movie without
any expectations. I had seen the 70's cartoon and didn't think
much of it. My friends tell me this film is faithfull to the
books almost word for word. As a newcomer I just fell in love
with the story, the visuals, and with the pacing of the movie.
I am soo happy they decided to go with 3 films instead of
fitting it all in 2 hours. The 3 hours really pass by quickly
and apart from maybe 1 or 2 shots of the Cave troll looking
like an animated puppet, the Special Effects are amazing.
I dream of the day where I will have a chance to work on films
of this scope. The worst part of this film is having to wait
1 year between chapters :)
Simply Awesome.
