RATING

What a pleasant surprise :) I played all the games on my playstation and really love horror movies. Even if the stress of watching these films scare the poop out of me - LOL. I had read some very bad reviews before seeing Resident Evil and coming out of the theater, my friend and I could not understand what they were talking about. I realy enjoyed this movie. It works great for the type of movie it is and I must say the best videogame adaptation made so far.

The visuals of the set designs are really cool and give you the creeps. I must have jumped out of my seat at least 5 times. The flashbacks are paced just right and though the zombie munching is not as discusting and graphic as the George Romero Dead trilogy (Night, Dawn and Day of the dead) they still look great. Even the Zombie dogs.

The pacing of the film is a lot like in Aliens, searching to get out not knowing what's around the next corner. One of my fave scenes is when the Marine Types go to shut down the Red Queen Computer Terminal. It's not a coincidence there are LOTS of lights in that room :)

So if you like the games and horror movies and to get stressed out for 2 hours, Resident Evil is worth the money. I enjoyed it more then Time Machine. I know I will buy it on DVD when it comes out in September.
