They're beautiful, they're brilliant and they work for Charlie. This is a sexy, high-octane update of the popular hit show, Natalie (Cameron Diaz), Dylan (Drew Barrymore) and Alex (Lucy Liu), alongside faithful lieutenant Bosley (Bill Murray), must foil an elaborate murder-revenge plot that could not only destroy individual privacy and corporate security worldwide, but spell the end of Charlie and his Angels.

THE MOVIE THE MOVIE

Keep in mind it is fluff and you will love it. An excellent popcorn movie with cool special effects, Matrix style fighting, Bill Murray and 3 beautiful babes. The movie never takes itself seriously, it's kind of laughing at itself along with the audience. It is the right blend of humor, action, and sexuality. The plot is cliche and in this case it does not really matter. You are not expecting a deep or meaningful plot from a Charlie's Angels film. I grew up watching Kate, Farrah and Jacklyn on tv (ah the wonderfull 70's, heh heh) When I heard they were making this movie I though - God, Why?. When it was released in theaters you couldn't pay me to go see it. I don't know why I was so negative about it, but maybe that's why I like the movie - low expectations. My friend bought it and as I watched it the first time, I laughed a lot and the fight scenes were very cool. I think even better then Mission Impossible 2. A mixture of Matrix fights and MTV Video editing. Why do I think it works is the exact same reason Randy states...The filmakers KNEW this was fluff and don't take themselves seriously. If you decide to buy the dvd, you will surely watch the fight scenes a couple of times. If you skipped it in the theaters as I did, it's definetaly worth the rental. You might just be pleasently surprised.

SPECIAL FEATURES SPECIAL FEATURES
Killer 5.1 sound with a pumped up music soundtrack including Prodigy and Motley Crue! The commentary track with director McG is entertaining and informative. He is genuinely excited about this movie and he reveals some cool secrets including a Drew Barrymore/E.T. connection that most of us would never know. There are at least 5 more extra Angel documentaries. Fun and short pieces that cover wardrobe, stunts, and production design. There are also a few deleted and extended scenes along with the Destiny's Child music video for Independent Women.

For a fluff movie this dvd sure has A LOT of cool extras. Other studios should take notice :) There are featurettes for every department. From Fashion (the lamest for my interests) to Martial Arts Training, Stunts, Special Effects. We get behind the scenes footage of what it took to bring all these aspects together for the screen. Very cool. We get to see the crew's Blooper reel which are always funny and 2 music videos in 5.1 sound.
