MEET THE PARENTS stars Ben Stiller as the unfortunately named Greg Focker, a neurotic nurse intent on marrying his girlfriend, Pam (Teri Polo). But when the couple visits Pam's family home for her sister's wedding, he must first win the approval of her father, Jack (Robert De Niro), a protective ex-CIA agent. Before long, the awkward Greg and the suspicious Jack go head-to-head, resulting in hilarious scenes that feature a lie detector test, a suburban car chase, a toilet-trained cat, and a mean game of water volleyball. As the misunderstandings and mistakes reach an almost nightmarish peak, it seems as though Greg may never win over Pam's unflinching guardian.

THE MOVIE THE MOVIE

Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro work well together in this hilarious comedy about the stress men endure when meeting our girlfriend's parents for the first time. It is even more complicated here since the father is an ex-CIA agent with his own polygraph machine. The film has some very funny moments involving cremated remains, a toilet
trained cat, and the profession of Ben Stiller's character, Greg.
Another movie that I did not see in theaters. Friends at work told me how funny it was so I decided to add it to my collection, a good decision because this movie is soooo funny. There are too many scenes that are great to be able to choose which one is best. All the actors really play off each other and know how to make you laugh. I don't want to spoil things for you so I will end here before bringing your expectations so high that you will find the movie dissapointing. I will just say I wish My cat had the skills of Robert DeNiro's - LOL

SPECIAL FEATURES SPECIAL FEATURES
Sound includes Dolby 5.1 and DTS but neither are a big deal here since the film is mostly dialogue and no special effects. It is loaded with 2 commentary tracks, Spotlight on location doc, deleted scenes, and outtakes that show DeNiro cracking up a lot. Who knew he was such a fun loving guy? Other extras include some boring lie detector
test game and relationship forecaster. The "games" were barely fun the first time, doubt I would ever cue them up again.
For those of you who love to hear annecdotes on a movies filming, we are lucky. There are 2 seperate commentary tracks on this dvd. The Spotlight On Location is the normal fluff of a making of that is more PR poop then informative. Blah blah blah is the best director, blah blah blah I never had so much fun on a movie, blah blah blah Actor X is soo talented...you get the idea. There are some outakes and deleted scenes that ocasionally make you chuckle but nowhere as funny as what is in the movie.
