Foamcore base including wall beams. Plaster Bandages cover
all foamcore. When dry, 2 coats of plaster of paris were brushhes
on. Watered down latex paint is then applied and absorbed
by the plater giving a old weathered look. Sawdust is then
glue on to the floor to create the illusion of sand. A plastic
fruit basket bottom (dollar store) was glued to the ceiling
to create the gas storage tank. It also was covered in plaster
and painted to match the walls. Old speaker wire was cut at
various lengths to make the pipes and old tan shirt was cut
into strips and hot glue gunned to the ceiling creating an
upside down awning look. |
