THEED PALACE MAIN HANGAR
CREATED AUGUST 1999

CONSTRUCTION DETAILS

Foamcore base. Plaster Bandages cover all foamcore. When dry, 2 coats of plaster of paris were brushhes on. Then sanded everything smooth. Sponge painting with latex paint gave the illusion of stone walls. Then used a tiny screwdriver to make the stone mortar lines all accross the ships docking areas. Using Sculpey, I made the wall vents, molded them in silicone and made plastic copies. once painted black, I hot glue gunned them to the walls behind the fighters. The floor was created using 2 different marbled mak-taks cut to their respected shapes and overlaid one on top of the other. The ships are suspeded with fishing line
