I tried using plaster bandages on foamcore and
then appying plaster after it was dry. The problem I am having
is that after the plaster dries it is coming off the foamcore
in a whole sheet. can you give me any pointers on the proper
way to do this? Russ If you have corners, make sure to wrap the bandages around the edges making overlaps to bind everything together. however, if your foamcore piece is a big flat surface, this is normal as the bandages have nowhere to grab onto. The trick to prevent this is to insert small nails or staples into the foamcore first. at 4-6 inch gaps. If they poke out the other side it should not matter as I assume we won't see that part of the structure. When you now apply the wet plaster bandages they will hook onto the nails and wont slide off. Your final plaster coat will hide any evidence of the nails. |

I'm making a couple dioramas right now that are
going to require a low lying fog like appearence just like in
the yoda swap scenes. How would you suggest I make this??
