CELEBRATION V DIORAMA WORKSHOP : NIUBNIUB DIARY #2
Here's what we were doing exactly ONE WEEK AGO TODAY !!!! Hard to believe.
It's almost like it never hapened until I see the footage and say, oh

ready for tomorrow since I am going on a little vacation break in Ottawa
for the weekend before I start work on my new film Project Monday. Stay

CELEBRATION V DIORAMA WORKSHOP : NIUBNIUB DIARY #1
Let's start at the very begining... it's a very good place to start....
the first 3 notes are Do Re Mi ... oops wrong movie LOL. Hey everyone
!!! Welcome back from CV, did you have a great time? Send
me an email, I will soon open a readers memories type of page soon.
Let the world and Lucasfilm know how much fun you had and how much you
would want ANOTHER Diorama Workshop at CVI.
In the meantime, I've edited the best parts of my adventures FIRST DAY
(last tuesday) for the YouTubeNNU
Celebration V Diorama Workshop NiubNiub Diary #1. Check out what
happened BEHIND THE SCENES from my flight leaving Montreal to bedtime
at the hotel later that night. And find out about the WEIRD passenger
in aisle 2C :P
I will rush out Diary #2 tonight if I can, Plus I have all the STILL
versions to do for the Making Of section
and Celebration V Diorama Workshop Section
to do. PLUS, I start work on a NEW FILM project Monday so real world
will start interfearing again with multiple updates in same week. I guess
we will just have to see how that plays out...
Tuesday - August 17 - 2010
I AM BACK !!! AND SURVIVED - LOL
My feet are still throbbing and I had to wait 6 hrs for another flight
after our initial noon was delayed due to plane malfunction. Thank god
Patricia was there with me to tslk with and chat about what we just experienced
the past 6 days. So, I did make it home last night at around 10 pm. I
can't believe it's passed so quickly. What a crazy feeling it is to attend
Celebration Conventions. It is bitter sweet because we reconnect with
so many people we recognise from past workshops and then 4 days later
- PPOF - we must again say goodbyes for another 3 years :(
I have TONS of VIDEO and PICTURES to sort through, it will probab;y
take me most of the week. so please bear with me as I want to showcase
ALL the AWESOME creations that everyone did and I have to create the
propper templates and pic croppings to prepare the hundreds of pages
for upload...
NO MORE CV FIGURE FUND
I haven't had time to replace the banners on the site yet, so even though
on some pages you still see the CV Figure Fund links, The P.O. BOX is
NO LONGER ACTIVE - and now that the show is over - PLEASE DO NOT SEND
your toy donations at this time. Keep them for 1013 ;p

I cannot STRESS how Bantha PooPoo these Diorama Workshops would turn
out without the AMAZING ALWAYS SMILING, GIVING, HARD WORKING (too small
a word really to truly describe this) and ZERO SELFISHNESS that my Staff
of VOLOUNTEERS give me.
Not to mention the hundreds of little Ewok Followers who help me create
the BEST and BIGGEST Fan Made Dioramas out there. Without all of you
, the workshop would NOT exist and would be totally a waste of time and
effort. So for this... AGAIN, THANK YOU !!!! from the tiniest Turret
to the BIGGEST Wampa Caves. You have really, really, REALLY made me PROUD
this past week. :)

Monday - August 09 - 2010
NO SLEEP - NO TIME - FLY TO ORLANDO IN 2 HRS
I thought I would be LONG DONE by this time but nooooo.... My plane
leaves in 2 hours, I mean I leave for the airport in 2 hours, and Im
still doing photoshop signs for the show. Now THAT IS NUTS !!!! - LOL
I wanted to share a few more surprises but I don't have time to do a
fancy post - I must run after 30 seconds so be sure to drop by the workshop
if you are at Celebration V....
We have tons of stuff to build, TONS 10th anniversary NiubNiub prizes
and Hasbro Toys to give away and coolest of all.... working at ILM has
it's perks :) I am please to say that I am giving away CREWGEAR only
available to those who work in the movies. So get ready to win some Star
Wars, Iron Man, Pirates, Transformers, Star Trek, and MORE.... just too
cool to be able to do this for you again.
I've also convinced LucasArts and Lucasfilm to donate a few SURPRISE
choice prizes as well. for that you will have to see it in person or
read about it after the show.
OK, I realllly have to run now. I will try and see if I can post from
my hotel room. Stay tuned. Its gonna be a Sressfull but THRILLING FUN
WEEK !!!!

EXCLUSIVE - DESIGNING ECHO BASE MONTAGE
I promised you all something really special today, well here it is,
I worked hard on this... As Team America say... EVERYBODY NEEDS A MONTAGE
!!! :) And NiubNiub is no exception :) LOL.
Since I didn't have time to show you all that is ready for you guys
and girls at the Celebration V, I thought I could show you in 4 minutes
all that we have been up to in the past 5 months... From the Hallways
to the never before seen Control Room and Wampa Caves. It's all there
with a bit of humor and lots of COFFEE to keep us awake at 3 am LOL.
I got some stuff to do now, and will have one LAST LAST post tomorrow
monday explaining the plan / scheduale of what you can expect at the
Echo Base Diorama Workshop. Tune in tomorrow for that, in the meantime...

CV YOUTUBE NNU SNEAK PEAK #5: WE GOT TRENCHES
WOW, already my 10th NiubNiub You Tube Video !!!! I outdid myself...
:) I didn't think I had it in me to find time for one LAST NiubNiubsUniverse
Channel Video Tutorial: Star
Wars Celebration V sneak peak TRENCH diorama tutorial These will
just bring hoth to life next week when we place hundreds side by side
to recreate one EPIC battle !!!
I want you all to know that EVERYTHING we do at the Echo
Base Diorama Workshop will be fully detailed on site AFTER the
show, so that EVERYONE who could not attend the convention, can build
AT HOME and create the same displays for their toys as we did. OK,
well maybe not 60 feet wide landscapes accross your living room ;)
but you get the idea.
Now... My EYES feel like they are exploding out of my skull and I still
have over 100 hours of work to do in 3 days before my flight, but I PROMISE,
I will have ONE LAST COOL post before I go to the airport. Come back
Monday for that.... and then, well.... COME SAY HELLO in ORLANDO !!!

CELEBRATION V : ECHO BASE DW ONE WEEK TODAY !!!
WOW !!!! Can this really be??? This Time NEXT WEEK I will be greeting
the lucky ones who can make it to Orlando's Celebration
V and come participate at the Echo Base
Diorama Workshop.
I fifnised the Shield Generator design today and it looks SWEET !!!
Tomorrow doing the Wampa cave and Mountains final designs before doing
all my signage on the weekend for Kinkos. Looks like I will be JUST ready
in the nick of time !!! As if you all had any doubts? :P
Due to 3-4 hours sleep a night and so much to do, I have unfortunately
have to put the YouTube Sneak Peaks on Hold until AFTER I return from
the convention. I do have the Trench finished that will go up before
weekend as well as one LAST little surprise... but before that....

CV DIORAMA WORKSHOP FIGURE FUND
Tomorrow is AUGUST !!! NOOOOOOOoooooooo LOL. OK, I am now TOTALLY FREAKING
OUT LOL. SOOO Much to do even with 4-5 hours sleep a night doesn't seem
like there is enough time. Send me your positive energy guys, I'm gonna
need it to survive this next week and get the remaining room designs
done in time for the show.
Today I have updated the Celebration
V Figure Fund Page with the Names and Donations I have received
so far. BOY you guys are GENEROUS - Over 500 toys so far !!!! THANK
YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!! The KIDS will LOVE IT !!! but....
We still have 10 days, and 100 feet of Dioramas take a LOT of figures
to fill that space. If you were hesitating on sending your unwanted Empire
Hoth toys, NOW is the time to do it if you want them to reach us in time
for the Celebration V convention. Check out the Figure
Fund Menu to read all about it and where to send your donations.
CV YOUTUBE NNU SNEAK PEAK #4: X-WING ARCH
I'm starting to get the hang of making these videos ;p Instead of 3
days of editing and voice over, it only takes me 8 hours now LOL. Grab

or GIANT FLOWER
POT as I like to call it :) Is just HALF of what you need to park
your X-wing in the Main Echo Base Hangar. Stay tuned in the next video
to see just how ALL the pieces we've seen so far FIT TOGETHER to make
one HUGE Echo Base Hangar. Have a great weekend... I gotta create
the Decals for the Control Room. It's taking a long time to get it movie

Thursday - JULY 29 - 2010
CV DIORAMA WORKSHOP - COMING UP...
We are FAST coming up on TWO WEEKS Till the Celebration
V Diorama Workshop, I am SOOOO NOT READY!!! I may have to cancel
and call in sick... My DOG - no EWOK ate my diorama.
The VIDEO TUTORIALS are almost done for these, it really takes a long
time to edit and do voice over and find time to eat and sleep you know
:) So I thought today I would just WET your appetite and show you just
what is in store for you in the next couple of days here at NiubNiub's
Universe...
This HUGE section of the Echo Base is what I love to call the FLOWER
POT :) It's really HALF of one X-WING ARCH that create the walls of the
MAIN Hangar Bay. These will also act as "PEEK - A - BOO" Windows
for the Photo Ops looking into the Base. Next up is just how in the world do ALL
these lovely designs and creations actually FIT together :) Just wait
till you see these pics and video. And this is only the PROTOTYPES !!!!
Meaning there is only one section of it. When in Orlando, this will measure
over 30 feet long !!!
My last preview this morning is my OUTDOOR REBEL TRENCH. The idea behind
this design is that they will "SINK" between TWO TABLES, giving the illusion
they are actually carved into the ground of the Diorama. I just finished
the Photoshop Decals for all the Generators and Tool Boxes that will
dress up this section of the Diorama.
I still have soooo much work to prepare, but as you can clearly see...
it's gonna be a WILD and FUN TIME in Florida. Once you guys come in and
start building these, all my lack of sleep will evaporate and I shall
be re-energised by all your excitement and energy. I can't wait !!!

YOUTUBE NNU - CELEBRATION II DIORAMA WORKSHOP
In preparation for this years Celebration
V Diorama Workshop, my friend Elie made this little edit using
all my photos from the Celebration
II section. It was a nice surprise to wake up to and I thought
it be cool to share it with all of you today.
Hard to believe this happened 8 years ago already ....
This was my FIRST Diorama Workshop for Lucasfilm and we started out
in a small room with under 100 fans building Mos Eisley in just 2 DAYS
!!! It's really incredible what we came up with :) Do check it out in
my NiubNiubsUniverse
YouTube Channel.

V is tickling my feet and I still have SOOOOO much to do, I am
sweating bullets. You guys are lucky I don't start my new film until
the day AFTER the convention and can put 500% every day into ONLY preparing
for you what will surely be THE BEST DIORAMA WORKSHOP of ALL CELEBRATIONS
!!!

to 3 weeks to the show and I am only about 40% ready. Do you think we

Hey everyone, Have I got a really cool tutorial for you this morning

Simply download and print from your home computer and follow the step
by step instructions. The Blueprints will be added AFTER the Celebration
Convention. I know, that's mean but I have to have something special
for those attending the show :)

OFFICIAL CV DIORAMA WORKSHOP BADGES
Getting closer and closer to the awesomeness of Celebration
V. I am soooo stressed but yest soooo happy to reveal to you today
the OFFICIAL - YES YES !!!! OFFICIAL CV Diorama Workshop Collectors
Entry I.D. Badges.
At CIV, We had a VERY LIMITED set of 400
Workshop Badges that I had printed myself at Kinkos and laminated
each night till 2 am in my hotel room after a long 16hr day of cybertronning
:) This time the workshop has hit the BIG LEAGUES :D I can't say how
excited I am to have Lucasfilm print our Badges alongside their own
this year.
2000 Badges will be handed out to each of the Diorama Builders througout
the 4 days of the convention - On a first come first serve basis of course.
These Badges will not only act as a cool souvenir, but also be used in
our daily PRIZE DRAWINGS (more on that next week) as well as Identify
our fellow fans.
Needless to say that these are not handed out to passerbys by who won't
appreciate their true value, you MUST BUILD a part of the Echo Base in
order to collect your Badge and participate in our drawings. I'm sure
that makes sense and not too much to ask is it? :) ... This is all so
much fun, I am so glad to be able to do this for you guys.
