Friday - February 04 - 2005WOOHOO - EPISODE III SNEAK PEAK FIGURESWhat a treat !!! Living in Canada, we are not used to getting Star Wars toys at the same time as our American friends or still...before some of you down south :) I was so excited when I went to visit my friends at Legends Action Figures tonight and saw that all 4 figures plus Anakin's Fighter were in stock. Woohoo !!!
And to think this is just the start :P Imagine when April 2nd arrives and we can go buy 50 figures. ouch. I am preparing the Episode III Character Reviews, and will post the reviews up real soon. If you can't find these really COOL figures in your town, why not give them a buzz at Legends and order them online. Remember Canadian prices means cheap exchange for US and Europe, and great price for us Cannucks :D I'm off to work on some Death Star Hallways, will have something to show you within next 3-4 days. Have a GREAT weekend. Happy Episode III Toy Hunting. :)
Wednesday - February 16 - 2005NEW SECTION !!! CELEBRATION 3 DIORAMA WORKSHOPNow that we are getting closer to April, and that the Death Star design is coming along really well, i thought it's time to unveil NiubNiub's Celebration 3 Diorama Workshop section. From now until the convention, you will be able to access this section in 3 ways... In the NiubNiub Menu, Direct Links in the Niub News and in the big Banner you see above you this morning. The toughest part of the design process was how do I get everything to fit together so that everyones creations fit together to form the worlds largest ever Death Star Diorama. Since I want to keep you involved and excited with the show - I hope many of you can make it to Indianapolis :) - I created a Designing the Death Star section. Here you will see how the progress is coming for the Death Star Modular Pieces. For example, Blastdoor, or a Hallway Door, or a Small and Large Rounded Wall Unit. If you have seen Star Wars as many times as I have then you will have NO trouble identifying the pieces :) The cool thing is that they are all designed like LEGO. All pieces fit in a grid, meaning you will have even more power to create YOUR personal Death Star section come April. Each day/weekend I add to the puzzle, this is where you will find the pictures. Once ALL elements are created, then it will be time for actual specific rooms, like Princess Leia's Cell, or the Red Control Room. Those will be found in the Building the Sections menu (coming soon). Check out todays update of over 100 pictures !!! Enjoy them with your coffee and I hope they might put you in the mood to reserve your plane ticket :) Have a great day !!! I NEED YOUR HELP - C3 DIORAMA FIGURE FUNDTake a look at the Death Star picture above, now imagine how even cooler it would look with Stormtroopers walking around. The Death Star at Celebration 3 Diorama Workshop is going to be HUGE and I need your help to make the event the best it can be. As you know, a Diorama comes to life when you start populating it with the Hasbro figures. With an estimated construction of 500 rooms at 60 feet wide, that will be A LOT of Death Star, and we're going to need hundreds of figures to do it justice. One figure for every Diorama Builder to be exact. A longtime fan of the site, David Syczylo suggested I create a Celebration 3 Diorama Workshop Figure Fund. This way we can try and gather up as many figures as possible for the convention. I am hoping that if many of you, faithfull visitors and Star Wars Toy Fans, send us one or two of your spare Death Star figures, we can accumulate enough figures to give ONE away for FREE to every Diorama Builder and at the same time, populate the Diorama and bring it to life just like in the movie. Simply Click Here for all the information on how to send in your figures and which ones qualify to fit inside the Death Star concept. Don't send your 10 loose jar Jars :) He was NOT in the Death Star - LOL. I want to personally thank everyone who can help us make this work. Frank. D. NiubNiub

Thursday - February 24 - 2005C3 DIORAMA WORKSHOP - JEDI DUELCan you believe it's like only 2 months until NiubNiub's Celebration 3 Diorama Workshop !!! . How in the world am I gonna find enough time to get it all ready :P Last weekend I managed to complete the design and construction of the exact Hallway where Obi-Wan and Darth Vader Duke it out in A New Hope. This is just ONE room that you will have the chance to build at the convention if you choose so. It also shows you how my concept for the layering of all your rooms will connect together. Now, not only will we have side by side hallways, and stacked layers but now DEPTH !!! As you can see in the picture above, it really adds a lot of realism to have some hallways go front to back as well. I'm really excited about getting more rooms created :) You can see it all in the Building The Sections Menu. Select Vader/Obi-Wan Duel to see more then 60 pictures of Step by Step construction.
