It is actually a diary for me, to remind me of how lucky I was and to also remind all of you how injuries CAN happen to beginners as well as experienced Diorama / Customizers. When you use your Xacto Blades - ALWAYS be EXTRA carefull and GO SLOW. |

Well here I am after 6 hours of waiting in the Emergency and getting my stiches. The metal contraption is not attached to my finger. I can remove it at will. It is just a precaution to make sure I don't bend my finger which would probably result in the tearing of the stiches. OUCH. XX XX |

Well the doctor said my finger is healing well - NO infections - And so we removed the stiches. This is what the cut looks like today. As you can see it went all the way through a little past the half way mark. A little more and CHOP CHOP, no more finger. (I think I'm gonna puke - LOL) It is still highly sensitive and very sore - DUH - I think even you guys could have told me that :) When I bike to work and hit a pothole OUCH!!! seems like all the blood rushes to the finger tip and wants to shoot it like a champagne cork. Let's hope next week I will be able to start bending it more and perhaps get back to the Emperor's Arrival. XX XX |

Here is a TOP view. The cut goes all accross the finger. I sure didn't miss the mark eh? :( I must still wear the metal support to prevent the finger from bending. lasst thing I want is to have it split back open. When I move the finger I can feel pulling. You also have the weirdest sensation when the nerves are re-attaching themselves on the inside...A weird throbbing and strong itch appears from time to time evry hour - on the inside. I guess those of you who broke a bone would experience a similar sensation. I hope that this is my LAST injury and that I won't have to deal with this again. XX XX |

3 weeks after my cut, I can now bend my finger without too much pain. A small scar has started to form that itches like crazy :P If I manage to not pick at it I should be ok by next week LOL. XX XX |
