Poke out the bottom after you cut all around. You
should now have a 2 layer thick middle frame. |
February 13, 2005
Once all your cuts are done, you would have 4 frames...
2 with decals (front and rear)
2 regular middle frames. |
February 13, 2005
Take 2 Triangles and Hot Glue them to oposite cornes.
Remember to flip the frame on the backside. you
don't want to stick the triangles onto the decals.
But I am sure you figured that out allready LOL.
Oh and take 2 scrap pieces and attach those on the
remaining 2 corners. This way all corners are raised
the same thickness.

February 13, 2005
Now Hot Glue a middle Regular Frame to the Triangles
and scap pieces.
Make sure both frames are at the same ends. Top is
thicker and bottom is the thin border. |
February 13, 2005
Now place 2 more triangles on top of this frame but
at oposite corners from the last time.
Hot Glue 2 scarps on oposite remaining corners as
well. |
February 13, 2005
Now put another Regular frame and some more triangles.
This time on the same corners as the first triangles. |
February 13, 2005
Finaly, sandwich all the layers together with another
Decal Front frame. It's really easy, just takes a
little time thats all. |

Your Blast Door is completed . What do you think?
does it look like the movie?
February 13, 2005
Oh one last thing for the Celebration Blast Door.
The end will be exposed so why not ad a Wall unit
Decal of your choice. |
February 13, 2005
And there you have it. The Blastdoor fits perfectly
within the 1 grid of the Main Wall. |
February 13, 2005
Oh yeah, even cooler is that it is exactly 5 units
wide, meaning you can even place the Blast door on
the back wall in between 2 Wall decals.
This will be really cool.if you want to create a
room behind the main hallway. |
February 13, 2005
This is what your diorama would look like with the
Blastdoor on the wall. Really adds depth and movie
realism. |
February 13, 2005
This is what it looks like when the Blastdoor is
placed seperating your main hallway.
Can you picture Han jumping over ? :) |
February 13, 2005
Another angle showing how the doors also act as a
hiding of the seems. And with some Halls going deep,
it will look just awesome.
Sometimes the most simple dioramas (sticker on foamcore)
make the best ones don't you think? |
