Now measure 12cm and poke a hole for your pencil to stick out to the other side.

Now simply go all the way around again to draw the inner circle. This will help you figure out where the Command Panels are placed.

Take out your Angle Ruler and place it centered with the hole your thumbtack made. Now use your pencil to mark every 15 degrees.

Here is a close up showing the markings at every 15 degrees.

Now use your ruler to draw straight lines between the inner and outer circles. Place your ruler accross to the other side to give you a perfect line by aligning opposite 180 degree notches.

Does that sound confusing? LOL

Now you can cut the table. Cut the OUTER circle ONLY !!!

Again, watch out for your fingers when cutting ith a sharp blade.

October 10, 2004

So now you have a circle but not the complete table....yet...

October 10, 2004

Take your circle and trace it on another piece of foamcore and cut that piece like you did the first circle.

October 10, 2004

You now have 2 circles. A Top layer (with the angle markings) and a Lower layer, the one you just cut.

October 10, 2004

Take the Top Layer and cut into the foamcore stopping exactly at the edge of the inner circle. This is easily done with a normal cutting blade.

October 10, 2004

For best results cutting out the inner circle, switch to a smaller V shape blade on your Pen X-Acto knife.

make sure your blade is NEW and VERY sharp to make a CLEAN cut. You don't want messy edges on the table.

October 10, 2004

After a minute or so, the piece is remove from the Top Layer of the table.

October 10, 2004

Now continue removing the rest of the pieces , 12 in all. Make sure to cut out every OTHER notch.

When done, you should have a shape like this...

October 10, 2004

Can you start to see it coming together? :)

Use your Hot Glue Gun to connect the two layers together. Make sure to get glue on the edges of every little extrusion. This is kind of tricky, cause you have to work fast before the glue starts to cool off.

October 10, 2004

If done correctly, you should have a minimum gap between the two layers of Foamcore.
