Here is what it will look like with one exception...
The Fold Over piece from Photo 079 will be attached
to this piece to avoid a gap.
NOTE: that you must Hot Glue ONLY this section. That
instruction will remain the same when you use the
final Downlaod Decals. |

On the opposite end of the Wall Unit, Hot Glue the
Front Cardboard Top Decal. Make sure to allign with
the Top of the Unit. |

The Top will look like this when you look at it from
the front. |

After assembling this piece I figured it would be
more esthetic to have it as one piece of Decal with
the Bottom base.
DO NOT do this part, it will be a fold down, not
a seperate piece like in the photo.
SEE step 088 |
|

Now simply fold down the Decal until it presses against
the back of the Main Wall Unit.
To help fold the Cardboard, you can do a slight slice
with your Xacto Blade in the back of the Decal. Don't
press TOO hard or you will slice the Decal in half. |

We don't want ugly white styrofoam peeking through
the sides so get out your paintbrush and apply color
to the Spines of the Foamcore.
Go slowly, you DON'T want to paint over the decals. |

October 10, 2004
And here is a finished Wall Unit :)
I may still do a True Embossed version for the Advanced
and insane Diorama Builders out there :P

Pretty cool for simple Decals applied to Foamcore
pieces. Once the grid at the top and some Christmas
Lights get put in at the end, it should really look
awesome. |

October 10, 2004
And after 1 day's work, here you go...My first Diorama
update in a year. :D
Starting the rest of the walls during the week and
then the Chairs. I have to get a Hole Puncher, I seem
to have lost mine :( |
|
 |
 |
|
October 16, 2004
So let's start making some wall panels :D Simply
print out the Death Star Conference Room Wall Decals
from the NiubNiub Download Section and cut out the
sections into seperate pieces.
|
|
 |
 |
October 16, 2004
Peel back the Label Sheets or use Glue STick to secure
the Wall Bottom and Top Panels to a piece of Cardboard.
DO NOT USE FOAMCORE !!!
It is too thick and will not give the result you
are looking for.
|
|
 |
 |
October 16, 2004
Now with your Xacto Blade, carefully cut out the
Top Panels. Having applied the Decals BEFORE the cutting
guarantees you a much cleaner edge.
|
|
 |
 |
October 16, 2004
As in Step 087, Carefully cut all your Bottom Wall
Panels.
Remember to be carefull when using New sharp Xacto
Blades.
|
|
 |
 |
October 16, 2004
Now we need to slice a groove in order to allow the
Bottom Wall Panel to bend 45 degrees.
Place 2 Panels face up next to a Upside Down Panel
and draw a line. See the RED arrow . The YELLOW arrows
point to the lines you use as your guides for your
ruler.
|
|
 |
 |
October 16, 2004
Now gently SCRAPE the surface with your Xacto Blade.
DO NOT CUT THROUGH THE OTHER SIDE !!!
You simply want to cause a groove so that the cardboard
will bend at the correct spacing.
