The console has ONE Death Star wall panel on each
side of it.
Start by cutting TWO identicle pieces of foamcore
measuring 15.5cm x 6cm. |
July 14, 2008
Cut out your Wall Decals and glue them to the foamcore
using a Glue Stick.
You can also use white Eylmers glue, but be aware
the drying time for that is much much much longer
:) |

Now take your HOT GLUE GUN, and apply some glue to
the BACK spine of the console panel.
Then carefully align the Wall Panel with the TOP
corner of the Red Console. Press both pieces together
until the hot glue melts the two edges together. |
July 14, 2008
Repeat the same step but for the other side.
Remember to apply the Hot Glue to the CONSOLE first
NOT the Wall Panel.
Make sure the top of both pieces line up and that
the right side of the Wall Unit is at the same angle
as the Console. |

The wall is complete... but wait ...
Can you seee it ? :)
there are TWO little GAPS on the base that need to
be capped off. |
July 14, 2008
Cut out TWO identical pieces of foamcore measuring
4.5cm x 3cm. |
July 14, 2008
Align the piece with the Wall's bottom side and the
End of the Console's Base. |
July 14, 2008
Flip the console upside down and use some Hot Glue
to secure the piece in place.
Having glue on the inside gives a much cleaner look
and avoids having glue ooze out the front of the console's
base. |
July 14, 2008
Do the same thing on the right side and now we are
DONE for real :)
You can put the console aside for now. Time to move
on to ... |

July 14, 2008
... The Docking Bay windows.
Start with a foamcore shape measuring 15cm x 15.5cm.
This will be where your Bay Window Decal gets applied
to. |
July 14, 2008
You can actually print and tick the Window Frame
decal to the foamcore to find out the exact shape
of where to cut out the inside.
Basically the top and bottom of the "C"
shape are 1.5cm wide. The Left verticle shape is 2.5cm
wide.
The hole (piece removed) should be 13cm
x 12cm.
July 14, 2008
Take the "C" shape and draw a copy of it
on a piece of foamcore and cut it out using your Xacto
knife.
Yoou want TWO identicle pieces. |
July 14, 2008
Cut out TWO identical pieces of 5cm x 15.5cm to act
as the sides of the window structure. |
July 14, 2008
Align the first piece with the INSIDE edge of the
"C" piece. |
July 14, 2008
Repeat the procedure.
You can see in the picture how the wall sides are
FLUSH with the "C" shape and go all the
way to the TOP of the "C" and do not stop
at the window's ceiling arch. |
