... and placed the Exhaust on top of it.

Since the rings were made for napkins, the toilet paper roll slides in nicely. Use some Hot Glue to keep it in place and prevent it from sliding down to the floor.

Next I took 4 toothpics and cut off the points on one end.

July 14, 2008

Carefully poke the pointy ends into the foamcore.

And then all that is left is to put a quick coat of latex grey paint.

Bring one of your decals to the paint store to try and match the color as close as possible :)

Your Exaust port is now complete. I think it's an Exhaust port LOL

Now for the floor, cut out a 51.5cm X 54cm piece of foamcore.

July 14, 2008

Peel your black glossy Mac Tac vynil flooring and carefully place it onto your floor piece.

July 14, 2008

Press outwards as you go along making sure to try avoid leaving any air bubbles.

July 14, 2008

Flip your foamcore upside down and trim away all the excess Mac Tac.

July 14, 2008

You now have a nice Death Star shiny floor :)

There is a white gap on the left due to the width of the Mac Tac roll, but since this part will be covered with the walls, I thought it was a waste to cut another Mac Tac sheet to cover this area.

July 14, 2008

Start with placing the DOOR wall, which is the same as the CLOSET wall.

Allign the door FLUSH with the floor base (circle 1) and leave a SMALL .5cm gap (circle 2) on the corner edge as a space for the other wall's foramcore thickness.

July 14, 2008

Here you can better see the 1/2cm gap on the RIGHT side of the Door wall.

July 14, 2008

This is the start of your Diorama and the main entrance to the room.

If you want to turn it into a playset, you could have the door loose so that you could open and close it and could have the closet doors open and close.

July 14, 2008

Next the Right wall.

Cut a piece of foamcore 15.5cm tall X 54cm wide.

July 14, 2008

Measure ONE decal width (6cm) and start applying your stickers at that line.

Use the same decals as in the photo if you want movie accuracy.

July 14, 2008

Now take this wall and use Hot Glue to secure it to the floor of the diorama.

Make sure to align it FLUSH with the back of the Door. I drew a pointy red line to show you how the wall lines up perfectly.
