Here is what the final wall looks like with the Single Blastdoor Wall angled in the corner.

April 10, 2005

A wider view showing you how this all fits together with the Docking Bay Neon Entrance Wall.

Don't panic, I jumped ahead of myself ;p the making of steps for that wall are coming up.

Now it's time for the back wall of the Small Blastdoor where the heroes see Ben fighting Vader.

Cut out a rectangle that fits 4 decals wide.

March 05, 2005

Print out your decals and stick them to the foamcore rectangle.

You can mixmatch any of the wall decals to add your own touch, but this pattern is Movie Accurate.

Look familiar? :)

Simply place the wall behind the Small Blastdoors.

Time for the Neon Entrance.

I wish I still had the measurements to give you for these steps, for now, just look at ALL the steps to familiarise yourself with what I did.

Then return here after taking your own measurements that fit YOUR diorama.

From this rectangle you need to cut out CURVED corners.

I remember I used a soup can for this.

Then measure the thickness of the beam and mark that with a pencil. This is 3". Then make sure to round out the INNER corners BEFORE CUTTING.

You should now have a piece that looks like this.

Trace this shape on another Foamcore Sheet and cut out a duplicate piece for use later on Step 208.

Now the Beam needs a THICKNESS to stand up straight.

You could just glue the flat rectangle opening to a cardboard back if you don't want to spend the hours to turn it 3 dimensional.

If you choose the long road, (good for you :) cut strips of Foamcore 2" wide

April 15, 2005

We need to curve the foamcore, in order to do so cut SLITS at every 1cm but DO NOT CUT THROUGH !!!

Make sure to only slice the top paper and some of the styrofaom.
