Gently insert a Toilet paper Roll quarter into both
ends. Make sure they both curl in the same direction
before securing with Hot Glue. |

February 22, 2003
No I did not drool all over my diorama - LOL.
Use your Hot Glue Gun to secure the Rolls to the
foamcore.
When attached with the bases, the pressure could
pop out the rolls if left unglued. |
February 22, 2003
And here is our completed Mid-Section.
As you can see with the green arrows, the Roll Quarters
are both pointing up in the same direction. |
February 22, 2003
Now repeat the step 3 times. I know it's tedious
but you will see what a difference it makes.
Of course if you want to do it the "easy"
way, you can just make one large center 16.5 cm piece. |
February 22, 2003
Now it's time to attach one of our first Cardboard
Divider. The folowing steps are like making a Club
Sandwich :)
Place one of your Center Strips in the middle of
a Divider. The Green arrow indicates where the Angle
starts on the Divider. The Red arrow shows us where
to align your Center Strip.
Make sure to
leave a small gap to give us the sandwich effect. You will
understand this soon. |
February 22, 2003
Here is a wider view of what we are doing. Again,
Green arrows are the start of the Angles, and the
Red arrows where both ends of the Center Strip are
located.
From this height you can also see the small groove
along the front. DO NOT place the foamcore FLUSH with
the cardboard. |
February 22, 2003
Now carefully secure the 2 pieces with some Hot Glue
on the BACKSIDE of the Foamcore Strip.
This way, you are ensured a clean front which will
give you the best surface for the Decals. |
February 22, 2003
When the Hot Glue has hardened for your center piece.
Take 2 of your Bases and align them with the Cardboard
Division ends.
Again, remember to leave a small groove on each side.
Use the Hot Glue to secure these pieces to the Cardboard
Division |
and you have
the equivalent of your first slice of bread :) |
February 22, 2003
Now when making a sandwhich you need another slice
of bread, in this case, grab another cardboard Divider
and place it on top of the foamcore strip.
You can see in the picture the groove I was talking
about earlier on the front side. This will give us
great detail when assembled. |
February 22, 2003
Hold on tight to your "sandwich" and flip
it over.
Using the Hot Glue Gun, Run the nozzle along the
backside of the strip where the Foamcore and the carboard
meet. |
February 22, 2003
Now we have ONE layer of our "Club sandwich"
:D
Let's call it Section 1. |
February 22, 2003
Now repeat the same steps as before but stack a NEW
layer of Foamcore onto the Cardboard from section
1.
Remember to keep a Groove in the front. See the Green
arrows?
And don't forget to attach the pieces together with
Hot Glue on the backside of the wall. |
February 22, 2003
Now take a Cardboard Divider and place on the top
of Strip 2.
The Green arrows are to remind you that there is
a Groove.
DO NOT place FLUSH with the foamcore. |
February 22, 2003
Now secure in place with more Hot Glue and we have
2 layers done.
This is Section 2 :) |
February 22, 2003
We are almost done, all that is left is to place
our last layer of Foamcore onto the Cardboard Divider
of Section 2.
Green arrows!!! you know the drill :D |
