You now have your Beam Girder Structure Complete.

You can see how the Inner Supports create just the perfect Gap for the Tie Bomber Holder to Slide in between the 2 Layers of Foamcore.

Finish placing your Decals on Both Sides if you have not done so yet and voila...

A cool looking Beam :)

Once you have the Diorama set up, Measure the exact width and cut off the excess from the Beam so that both ends lean against the top angles of the wall.

The floor in my basement was un-even, that is why I waited to cut the piece at the Legends store.

I didn't want to come up short and waste all the hard effort and costs of making the Beam Support.

Also, when you place the beam, make sure the Drop Shadows on the Decals are facing down. It will look like the ceiling lights are creating the shadow and give you a more realistic feel to your scene.

Let's try and explain the connections for the Tie Bomber Holder.

At the right you can see how the ends were cut at an angle to fit against the Blue Neons.

Above the Neons is a small support to prevent the Beam from Slipping (more on that 2 pictures down).

The Tie Bomber Holder is actually Between the 2 Foamcore layers so that when you look at it from either side, you see only the Beam.

The red rectangles represent where the Supports are located in our Sandwhich.

The Tie Bomber Holder slides in between the space created by the small foamcore pieces. You then insert the Double Layer Foamcore strip into the Tie Bomber Holder at the top of the Beam.

The weight from the Tie Bomber pulls the Tie Bomber Holder down and keeps everything secure.

Here is a close up of the "latch" I created to make sure the Beam doesn't slip off the ceiling.

It is basically 3 layers of Foamcore the Width of the Beam Sandwhich (aproximately, .75 inches) and 4 to 5 inches long.

Once the 3 pieces are Hot Glued together, you can attach it to the Beams edgge making sure it

sticks out enough to lean on the Docking Bay Wall (The space in between the Red V).

And here is a look at the finished Beam with Tie Bomber in place.

Of course nothing stops you from adding some Tie Interceptors and Tie Fighters to the mix :)

While not Movie accurate, the beam does it's job well and looks cool with the Tie Bomber hanging from the ceiling.
