Using the hot Glue Gun, bond all the pieces together.

September 16, 2001

Take a piece of foamcore that matches the inside of the corridor tube and place our door frame (from the step above) over it.

Trace the door's shape and cut out the center.

September 16, 2001

Next glue the circular piece to the doorframe with the Glue Gun.

We now have our conection. This picture shows you how it connects to the tubes side.

Here we see how it fits in the second corridor tube.

Don't glue it quite yet.

It will be easier to add details if the front of the tube is unobstructed.

The 2 pieces connected as seen from the outside.

This is the view from the cockpit looking towards the main corridor.

This shows us how the circular shape we attached to the doorway hides the uglyness of the outside tubes.

This is the view from the Blastshield Training room looking down the main corridor. This door leads to the cockpit.

Remeber that the floors second level has not been added yet.

Our connections are now complete and it only took me 6 hours - LOL.

September 23, 2001

I cut out some shapes in the main wall that will house wires and tubing. I will cover the back of these later to create an indentation in the wall.

September 23, 2001

I am now sarting ceiling details.

First thing I need is the light fixtures. I cut out these shapes out of foamcore.

September 23, 2001

Use the Hot Glue Gun to attach them to the ceiling in between each beam just before the dip.

September 23, 2001

Now for the bottom light.

Again cut identical shapes in foamcore but this time, cut the edges at an angle.

Use the Hot Glue Gun again to assemble the pieces.

September 23, 2001

sing your Hot Glue Gun again, place the angled forms over the shapes you just glued before and the back wall for support.

Decals will go over these shapes to create light fixtures.

September 23, 2001

A better angle showing the details we just added.

I also took time to make and print the grids on the floor.

I am so so happy about these.
