This is the correct patern to cut out.

*** IMPORTANT ***

Keep the center pieces you will need them for the boxes.

For the pipes, cut a piece of poster tubing. I had some left over from the other wall so I used that.

This explains why they are painted allready and not white.

December 16, 2001

Use the hot Glue Gun and attach the tubes to the back of the wall.

I placed a small piece of foam core at the bottom (left of the screen) to act as detail and support.

This is what the tubes look like from the front.

Next I cut some small foam core rectangles and wanted them thinner since they are for details.

Cut the pieces in half trying to be as even in thickness as you can.

I used my Hot Glue gun to attach them to the wall below the cut out pieces.

Time to make the boxes that the wires and decals will fit into. Start by cutting 1 cm strips.

December 16, 2001

Remember those shapes you cut out from the wall?

Take the strips and glue them to the sides of the rectangles.

December 16, 2001

Once everything is glued together it will look like this.

December 16, 2001

Using my trusty Hot glue Gun again, I attach the box to the back side of the wall.

December 16, 2001

When turned around to face front, we get the desired effect like in the movie.

Here you can also better see where the 3 little rectangles fit into the picture (below the right hole)

Next is the addition of straws for pipes. I used bend'em straws for turning corners and McDonalds yellow straws for the straight pipes. They are fatter in shape plus it gives you an excuse to get a Big Mac - Heh heh.

To keep the straws in place, I just cut a small groove in the beam and slid the straws into place using a little glue on the left to keep them horizontal.

... and you can see what the Wall allignment will look like.

The wall is ready for prime coat of paint. After that, more detailing can be added. Like the ceiling trap door and wires and decals.

One wall almost down, one more to go :)

I cut an exact copy of the main wall piece but did not cut a circle in it even though in the film there is a corridor entrance.

It just wasn't in my design plus the thought of making another 200 pillows scares me - LOL.

The piece is painted because I cut it when I made the main room.

The white strips are added details placed today. I also cut out a door shape that will have wire details like in the other walls.
