After about 6-8 hours, you can remove the entire
box walls.
Using 2 colors of silicone actually helps illustrate
the 2 halves and how they connect. :D
The big glob of plasticine was just to save money.
You probably are smarter then me and made the right
size box - LOL. |

Even in 2 piece molds, your original sculpt can crumble
into tiny pieces when pulled out from the mold.
Don't cry just yet, it will all be back in one piece
once we make our first resin copy :) |

Using clamps, secure the 2 halves tightly to prevent
the resin from leaking out.
I mixed equal parts of hardener and polymer and poured
it into the hole at the top of the mold. |

2 minutes later - Tadaaaa - a copy of our original.
All that is left to do is trim and sand the excess
resin at the statue's base. |

Here is my very first copy of the Office Statue A.
It is now time to paint it and give it a bronze
metalic aged look. I am no expert painter so we will
learn together :D |

I started with a dark base coat of browm to fill
the crack details and act as a good primer. |

I used the only goldish paint color I had to add
highlights.
The brush would not go into the cracks leaving the
dark brown paint to add weathering details I think
it looks too much like wood.
I will try and find a golden color at the art store
and add some more color later on. |

The Statue A standing on her (I think it's a female
- LOL) podium.
Looking good but still a little too wood like. But
adds a lot to the romm details. Very nice indeed :D
I am happy. |
