After my copy I noticed a small hole in my mold (Follow
the Blue Arrow) that brings us back to an important
step when poring the Silicone over your Sculpture.
Always pour SLOWLY to avoid Air Bubbles such as
this one.

It's small enough
to be able to fix later on the copy but could have spelled
a MAJOR catastrophy had it been bigger or say, on the sculpts
face. |

As we saw in the previous picture, Air Bubbles are
our enemy.
Here you can see 2 Bubbles created huge holes in
the resin copy. But no need to panic.
We can fix it with some Super Sculpey. |

Here the Red Arrows point to the areas that were
filled with Super Sculpey.
Just like the dentist does when you have a cavity
:)
Plop some Sculpey, smooth it to the resins surface
and use your hair Dryer to harden the Super Sculpey
before painting. |

Painting is harder then I thought. At least to try
and make a Bronze statue imitation.
I started by covering the entire resin with a Dark
brown. As with all my other customs I use my Latex
Paints so that I can wash my hands with water when
I am done. Easy cleaning :D

I then dabbled
(NOT STROKES) a lighter Greenish Brown into the base color.
I went back and forth from applying patches of Green and
Browns until I was happy with the result. |

And here is Guard Statue B on his podium.
The paintjob actually looks very nice within the
context of the red walls. I wish he was more proportionate
to the actual movie version, but I'm still happy with
it.
Not bad for a couple days work :D |
