Now the 1cm picks need to be attached to each side of step 170. Use the Hot Glue Gun to bond each pick one at a time.

When you do this make sure that the round balls face sideways. Ahhhh...Now you get it right? See how they look like little wheels?

Now get a straw, I found these really cool BLACK straws at IKEA. No need to paint them. I LOVE IT !!!

Cut a piece at 2cm.

October 31, 2004

Use the Hot Glue Gun again to bond the straw to the wheel base. Keep your finger on the straw a few seconds until the glue cools down so that the straw stays straight and doesn't start to lean sideways.

OK, now we need to make the chair. The movie design has some bends in it so you need a THIN carboard. Not paper thin though, it won't keep the shape you want to give it.

Mine was just regular Poster Board. You can find this anywhere for under $1.50.

Using the measurements from Step 174 Cut out the chair shape with your Xacto Blade. For the round hole, I used a Paper Punch.

October 31, 2004

Now I measured 2.5cm from the top of the chair (the pointy end is the top). This is your mark for the chairs seat.

October 31, 2004

Take a marker (a pencil will work also) and place it aligned with the pencil mark.

Now gently BEND the cardboard inwards like if you were going to wrap it around the pen. Don't be afraid to go too far, you want the cardboard to remember the shape. So more is better.

DON'T bend it too FAST though, this could cause ugly creases in the cardboard.

October 31, 2004

Now with an even fatter wider marker, Bend the Chair's Top half over in the opposite direction of the first bend. We want to create an "S" shape.

October 31, 2004

This is what the chair should look like now. the Red Circles represent where the Pens were placed to help the bends.
