I do not collect the 12 inch figures because quite frankly - they are the UGLIEST likenesses ever. Plus the fact that the bulky cloth severely distorts the character. The Stormtrooper and Darth Vader come to mind. Way too bulky. If only they were the quality of the Japanese Marmit figures well then I would have a hard time passing these up. But the tauntaun is an exception...

I saw the first tauntaun at TRU with Han Hoth several years ago and was imediately impressed. I wanted to get it but the price was over $100 and since I don't collect the 12 inch series I passed. Several months later I regreted it, so when hasbro released a 2nd tauntaun with Luke Hoth this time I grabbed it. The packaging was even nicer this time around which was an added bonus for display. I am very happy with the tauntaun even though the Luke figure is just so-so. His face is FAR from being Mark. At this scale can't they get accurate likenesses? yikes!!!
