Jabba in place to find the proper scale of the Palace rooms. You can see the Masking Tape used to hold the foamcore pieces in place until final measurements are ready.

A view from behind Jabba. This is awesome. Look at the size of this room. Just like the movie set. Don't worry about the masking tape it will all be covered with plaster soon.

Here is a view of the entire Jabba Palace. WOW. I must say I don't think I have seen a Jabba Diorama that was this accurate to the movie set before. It simply is breathtaking and it's only maksing tape - Hee hee. Imagine when it's all finished.

WOW, all the tape is gone. A layer of plaster texture has been applied all over the foamcore and sponge painted for weathering and color. It simply looks awesome.

Drool Drool Drool, and there are no figures yet :) At this angle it looks like a REAL room don't you think? Simply amazing. I think we will all use Mike's images as reference for our own Deluxe Jabba's Palace Dioramas. Heh heh.

This is what the Han Carbonite alcove looks like before grates and lights.

Very very cool. Look at that grating! Details really bring a level of realism to your scenes.

One of the staircases that leads to the rear of the Diorama. What a brilliant idea to do a cutaway so that you can see inside this angle and place your figures in the stairwell and yet put the roof back for when you are looking from the main room. Excellent.

Another angle of the arches. Great job on the paint. Weathering looks all oily and discusting. kind of like my Bathtub - LOL.

This is a cool picture. look at the depth of the room. Having a real grid on the floor looks much better then a decal. A little sprinkle of sand or sawdust will really turn this into the movie set.
