Mike now has finished all of the furniture details, tables, pipes, pillows, chains etc that turn a diorama from good to just AWESOME. This has to be THE MOST accurate Jabba's palace I have ever seen. Surely to become THE template for us future jabba Palace diorama makers.

Look at all these details. this is the alcove that is behind Jabba's Dais throne. Seen mostly in the dark, here we get a clear view of what it's supposed to look like.

Mike said he paused the video and make dozens of sketches to get all the props just right. There is no way you can do this diorama in 1 day but the extra time spent sure makes a difference. Here is Jabba's Bar B Q located in fron of teh alcove and just behind the dais.

And if we back up just a little more we see the relationship of jabba's dais to the BBQ and the alcove. Notice th estairs on both sides of the arch. This looks like the movie set. Awesome.

Han in carbonite. look at the little wire panel that leia Bushh uses to thaw Han. Even has a little light in it. Can you believe these details?

What Jabba Palace is complete without a bowl of fruit for all the hungry aliens? :D And of course we need pillows so they can sit. The sand is difficult to remove from your fur you know :) The addition of stairs and upper levels, not only is movie accurate but looks awesome. Check out the taun Taun head mounted on the wall next to Han Solo. Jabba needs his Trophies.

Here is a close up of how to do it right. Really nice job. Details is key.

Mike's attention to details is amazing. Only by watching the video would you know that a big curtain is hanging on the wall behind the main room.

A split screen showing Jabba's Trophies. On the left the taunTaun head, I assume chopped from hasbro's toy and on the right, what looks like a totally original Super Sculpey creation. Very cool.

A better view of the tauntaun in relation to where he is placed next to han Solo. You can make out the begining of the neck from the other beast's head on the right.
