February 2002 Now we get into the tricky part of the Diorama. This is the base support and skeleton. XX
February 2002 Next up is the skeleton structure that will hold the Cockpit Control Panels. XX
February 2002 The 2 foamcore skeleton sections are now placed together, along with the Center Console Panel and the seats. Starting to look like the real thing :) XX
February 2002 Using the behind the Myth CD as a guide, Tanguy created these awesome decals. XX
February 2002 Now this is a BRILLIANT idea. One that I will definetally steal. Uh I mean Borrow - LOL. Take a pin and poke holes into a piece of cardboard in the exact areas the "lights" appear in the printed decal. This will allow light to shine through the paper and also act as support. XX
February 2002 Here you can better see the punch hole technique. If you look at the red Arrows, That is the black cardboard that the holes where punched through. The Blue Arrows point to the exposed sheet of paper that is the Printed Decal Sheet. Since the paper is thinner then the cardboard, Light will shine through the punctured areas. Again, Very Smart idea !!!! XX
February 2002 Here Tanguy punches more holes in the side structure. He printed out a copy of the Decals in blueprint form so that he would know where to align the lights with the holes. XX
February 2002 Here is the Outside View of the Side Panels. Again you can make out where the Cardboard was cut and where the printed Decals will let light shine in. XX
February 2002 As we can see inside, the punctured holes don't affect the decals. Look great even without light. XX
February 2002 Tanguy used a clear sheet of plastic for the glass windows and more cardboard for the Cockpit's Support Beams. All that's ;eft is a coat of black paint. XX
February 2002 Here tanguy has placed cardboard printouts along the center Console. Looks just like the film version. XX
